Finally fish for tea
We stopped the night just by the ferry terminal and Tony went to the end of the jetty and finally caught some of the allusive fish he has been pursuing! You should have seen the ones that got away........should have bought more lures! Not sure what they were but tasted great!
Rock Art
The Rock /art at Alta was found in the 1960's and 70's and today is a UNESCO World Heritage site with about 6000 figures and from 2000-7000 years old.
Nordkapp
The top of Norway, Nordkapp (North Cape) a very barren place, but lots of visitors for a few hours or overnight like us, cold temps once the sun had gone and very windy the next morning.
Tunnels to Nordkapp
There are a number of quite long tunnels but the main one linking the mainland with the island of Magerøya which goes under the sea for 6870 meters.
A spot of fishing
Honningsvag is not the prettiest town in the world in fact very industrial, no where really nice outside of camping grounds to stop so we continued north and found a nice spot by a bridge and Tony did a bit of fishing.
Interesting Camp

Russian boarder
As we drove through Inari we spied and sign to Murmansk 303 kms away, which made the Russian boarder very close, but not for us this time as no insurance cover for this region without great expense.
Lake Inari
Yes another like side stop for the night and as Finland has around 188 thousand of them its not surprising. Todate we have only stayed at 3 paid for camping sites all the others have been lake side or designated places in towns for over night stopping.

Finland
We left Sweden today and we now travelling north through Lapland in Finland, we are camped near Roivaniemi the Lapland home of Father Christmas and we cross over the arctic circle here as well.

Skeppsholmen a lovely spot in the heart of Stockholm, fun drive in and out and a great place to have a birthday, we visited the Vasa Museum and enjoyed a ferry ride across the harbour walked around the Old Town then to Karina-Sofia for amazing views back across the city.
Uk to Ghent via Bruge
Travelled to Bruges and had a lovely leisurely strole around the historic streets then on to Ghent for the night where we stayed in a camping site very near the city.
